Multiphase Model for Predicting the Thermal Conductivity of Cement Paste and Its Applications

Thermal conductivity plays a significant role in controlling thermal cracking of cement-based materials. In this study, the cement paste at an early age was measured by hot plate method. The test results showed that decreased with increase water/cement ratio and curing age. Meanwhile, multiphase model for proposed used to study influence saturation temperature on paste. To determine parameters involved model, each phase calculated molecular dynamic simulation method, hydration simulated Virtual Cement Concrete Testing Laboratory. inversion relative error between experimental lay 1.1% 6.5%. saturated condition 14.9–32.3% higher than dry state. With increasing from 10 °C 60 °C, 3.9–4.9% depending ratio.
